Dr. Jacci Piet - Veterinarian

Dr. Jacci Piet joined us at North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic in November of 2018 as our Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian.

Dr. Piet is originally from the Detroit area of Michigan and has lived in several places, but after graduating from veterinary school, the Dallas area is where she started her career. She graduated veterinary school from St. George's University in 2014, in Grenada, West Indies. She completed her clinical rotation at Ohio State University and attained her undergraduate degree from Purdue Univeristy. 

Dr. Piet has been trained and worked with several specialists to help advance her knowledge greatly with difficult cases. She continues to learn more about emergency exotic medicine and loves training/mentoring new grads and technicians. Her areas of special interest include surgery, endoscopy, orthopedic care, neurology, and some exotics including lizards, snakes, rabbits, ferrets, and some small pocket pets. 

During her free time, Dr. Piet loves to read, garden, travel, hike and visit new places with her dogs, dance and hula hoop with fire and LED, and spend time with friends and family. At home, she has a Catahoula leopard / pit bull mix named Daisy Devil, a rottweiler named Dexter, a bearded dragon named mufasa, and two goldfish named Taka and Shenzi.
