Raeann decided to go into veterinary medicine after her own dog needed surgery and the vet allowed her to stay outside the surgery suite to watch. She has worked at North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic since April 2009 and wears multiple hats. Currently she is the Receptionist Manager and also works as a Veterinary Technician and fills in where necessary. She has been employed in the veterinary field since 2002 and has focused her interest in emergency medicine since 2004. She is an accredited CVAII and is a member of VECCS. Raeann owns two horses, Autumn a 3 year old solid bred Paint that she has owned since the filly was 6 months old, and a 23 year old Appaloosa gelding named Bo that she has owned for 21 years. Her traveling companion that rides to and from work with her most days is Washburne, the 3 year old Doberman that she rescued from Animal Control in Corsicana. Washburne is the adopted mascot of the clinic. He is very animated and always brings a smile to our employees. Her interests include her beautiful horses, trail riding, concerts/music and anything outside. This is the 2nd year she is riding for the Susan G. Komen Ride for the Cure. She is also a member of R.O.P.E., a group of equine enthusiasts that hold benefits and fundraisers to benefit the local community and animal care organizations i.e. HSNT, YMCA, SGK.
